Field Trips

One day each weekend during the Summer Institutes, students are taken by chartered bus on excursions to points of cultural, historical, or recreational interest in the San Francisco Bay Area. Examples of excursions from past years include:

  • The Exploratorium (a science museum) in San Francisco, preceded by a picnic at historic Crissy Field
  • Capitola, a picturesque Northern California beach town
  • The Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) in San Francisco.
  • The Monterey Bay Aquarium

Transportation, lunch, and entrance fees are included for all participants.

"The weekend field trips were great ways for the house to bond with each other. All of the trips were a lot of fun and a great break from class."
