How to Apply

Current Stanford students do not need to apply to this program to take classes at Stanford this summer.

For students attending other colleges and universities, or past Stanford alum, Stanford's Undergraduate & Graduate Summer Program features a convenient online application process. Electronic submission can be completed quickly and easily and takes just a few minutes of your time.

Students do not select courses until they have been accepted into the program and received their student ID number. Whether the student attends the eight week or ten week session is determined by their course choices. The majority of the summer courses are eight weeks in length. Only the Physics sequence is ten weeks in length.

We begin reviewing applications in January, 2009. You will receive a decision concerning your admission via email approximately one week after receipt of your completed application. Students are strongly encouraged to apply as early as possible.

You are responsible for verifying that all required forms and documents have been received by the appropriate deadlines. We will not notify you of missing items. Most correspondence from our office will be sent to you via email. It is your responsibility to provide us with a valid email address, notify us if you change your email address, check your email regularly, and ensure that your email account will accept email from Stanford. If at any time you seem to have trouble receiving our email, try turning off your bulk email filter or adding summersession@stanford.edu to your address book.

The application deadline is June 14, 2009.
