Although the fields of engineering are diverse and varied, they share common principles and methodologies. Three areas of engineering will be represented, each taught by an instructor with expertise and research experience in the field, and students will focus their study in one subject area for the entirety of the course. All sections will focus on hands-on assignments and real-world applications. In Summer 2017, the fields of structural engineering, civil engineering, and bioengineering will be represented. Those interested in Product Design and Architecture are invited to explore the Summer Arts Institute's courses in these areas:

Session 1 & 2

June 25 - July 14
July 17 - August 05


Mathematics including geometry and algebra required. Courses in pre-calculus and physics are not required but will be helpful.

Age and grade requirements:

1. 10th - 11th grade at the time of application.
2. age 15 - 17 on the first day of the session.
